Privacy Policy

Effective June 18, 2026

VaultKit is designed to protect user-selected files locally on your Mac. We do not operate a service that receives, stores, or decrypts your files.

Information VaultKit handles

VaultKit handles the files and folders you choose to protect, unlock, or lock again. This processing happens locally on your device. VaultKit may store local app settings, protected item records, unlock method preferences, and auto-lock preferences so the app can operate.

Files and encrypted content

VaultKit does not upload your protected files, plaintext file contents, passwords, or encryption keys to Glitchbuster Labs. Files are encrypted and decrypted locally on your Mac using standard platform cryptography. If you lose your password or configured unlock methods, we may not be able to help recover encrypted data.

Subscriptions and purchases

VaultKit Pro subscriptions are processed through Apple and may be validated with RevenueCat, a subscription management provider. Purchase status may be used to determine whether Pro features are active. Apple and RevenueCat may process purchase identifiers, subscription status, product identifiers, and related transaction metadata according to their own policies.

Touch ID and Keychain

When you use Touch ID unlock, VaultKit uses Apple LocalAuthentication and Keychain services on your Mac. Biometric data is handled by macOS and is not available to VaultKit or Glitchbuster Labs.

Auto-lock reminders

If you enable auto-lock, VaultKit may register a local login item helper. The helper checks auto-lock status and can remind you about unlocked items. VaultKit must stay open to protect the latest changes automatically. The helper does not upload your files.

Diagnostics

VaultKit may use standard Apple crash and diagnostic reporting if enabled by your device settings. Diagnostic reports help identify crashes and reliability issues. They are not intended to include your file contents.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not share your file contents with advertisers. Subscription processing may involve Apple and RevenueCat as described above.

Children

VaultKit is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and respond.

Changes

We may update this policy as VaultKit changes. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and make the revised policy available on this page.
